You will work with database product specialists, apply AI tooling to improve operations, ensure fault-tolerant design, and drive automation using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and related technologies in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 7-12 years experience with SQL Server Administration, Development or Architecture.
• 3+ years cloud experience on AWS or Azure, with preference for AWS.
• 6+ years Microsoft SQL Server, Availability Groups, and Failover Clusters.
• 5+ years development/automation using PowerShell and WinRM remoting.
• 2+ years Ansible to configure Windows systems using WinRM; Chef/Puppet considered.
• 2+ years Terraform experience.
• AWS certifications highly recommended.
• Familiarity with T-SQL, .Net, PowerShell, Python and Go.
• Strong backup, security, monitoring, audit, and performance troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Cloud Database Engineer will enhance our AWS database portfolio with a focus on SQL Server on EC2.
• The role may involve Linux and other databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL.
• Use AI tools to boost productivity while owning technical decisions.
• Ensure fault-tolerant design, separation of duties, and observability.
• Leverage AI to analyze logs, incidents and configuration drift for root-cause analysis.
• Design, build, and operate SQL Server on Windows across VMware and AWS EC2.
