Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to serve as SME for data flows, architecture, and cloud data warehouses. You will guide ingest, storage, and lifecycle strategies, and lead legacy data migration efforts while ensuring compliance and accessibility.

You will provide leadership in an Agile environment, mentor junior engineers, and deliver updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on system health, risks, and milestones.

Qualifications

• 20 years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for data flows, data architecture, and data storage within a cloud data warehouse environment.
• Lead data ingest, storage, and lifecycle management strategies with compliance and data aging.
• Guide legacy data migrations to modern architectures ensuring continuity and access.
• Provide regular status updates to senior leadership and engineering stakeholders.
• Mentor junior systems engineers and provide technical oversight.
• Lead Agile team activities, including sprint planning and delivery; act as Scrum Master.
