Job summary

Dayforce is seeking a software engineer to help build the next generation of its cloud data platform. You will design and develop production software in Python and C#, build reusable libraries, and create REST APIs and backend services that power data products at scale.

You will work with data scientists, product managers, and analytics teams to deliver secure, scalable services on Azure, Databricks, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably cloud‑native backend or data platforms.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET and Python.
• Proven ability to design and build REST APIs and distributed backend services.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
• Experience with Azure data services and lakehouse architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production software in Python and C# powering the data platform.
• Develop reusable libraries, frameworks, and SDKs for other teams.
• Build REST APIs and backend services for internal and customer data products.
• Own components from design to deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, and scalability; participate in architecture decisions.
