Job summary

Dayforce is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the Dayforce platform, focusing on configuration management and infrastructure for rapid development and releases. You will collaborate with Development, Support, and Operations to ensure high-quality software across the product lifecycle. The role supports U.S.

Government projects and requires eligibility for U.S. security clearance. You will define, monitor, and improve environments, branches, builds, and deployments while building tools for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle.
• Experience using configuration management tools (Ansible/Terraform/Puppet).
• Experience with build automation tools (Octopus/PowerShell/Jenkins).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with source control practices (Git/GitHub/TFVC/Bitbucket).
• Experience with ALM tools (TFS/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions/Jira).
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience defining/improving build, deployment, release processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with server administration and cloud hosting in Microsoft environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Own integrity of source control and build environments.
• Improve release processes for QA/Development/Test environments.
• Improve release processes to customers including patches and maintenance releases.
• Manage release/development branches including tagging/merging.
• Support Development and QA/DevTest infrastructure deployments.
• Improve build configuration and automation for releases.
• Mentor engineers on DevOps best practices.
• Participate in continuous quality improvements across release processes.
• Participate in Architecture Review Board for new projects.
