Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks a Lead Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native data ingestion and processing platforms, leveraging batch, streaming, and event-driven architectures. The role is a senior technical contributor focused on scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade solutions.

You will guide architectural choices, mentor engineers, and ensure systems meet reliability and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 7+ years of software/platform/cloud engineering experience.
• Experience building enterprise data platforms for batch and streaming workloads.
• Experience designing and supporting distributed systems and APIs.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, develops, and supports enterprise applications and platform services.
• Evaluates architectural approaches and recommends technologies based on requirements, cost, scalability, reliability, and supportability.
• Develops cloud-native solutions using APIs, event-driven patterns, and distributed systems.
• Mentors engineers and provides technical leadership during design reviews and implementations.
• Troubleshoots production issues and drives root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends, cloud technologies, and integration patterns.
• Leads by example on projects and guides teams.
