Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for Cloud to join the GDI group in New York, focusing on petabyte-scale data ingestion. You will build a scalable data-connector platform and runtimes, developing in Go and Python, with multi-region production responsibilities.

The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence in NYC twice weekly, and offers a path to advance within a mission-driven cybersecurity leader leveraging AI-native technology.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software applications.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale distributed system architecture with high scalability and availability.
• Fluency in Go or Python; experience with Go/Python is preferred.
• Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; capable of working across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build a platform that powers data connectors at scale with quality.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion frameworks and connectors for large data volumes.
• Create and improve developer tooling, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Address high availability, reliability, performance, and cost optimization in distributed systems.
• Develop platform code in Go and Python; support multi-region production systems.
• Lead cross-team platform initiatives and contribute to SDKs and connector runtimes.
