Job summary

Komodo Health is seeking a Platform-focused engineer to build and operate scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, deliver robust backend APIs, and drive data infrastructure improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize our platform, implement automation, and adopt AI-driven workflows that accelerate feature delivery and reduce MTTR. Hybrid work with US hubs available.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python with backend API development and troubleshooting.
• Expert knowledge of AWS core services and scalable architectures.
• Experience with Terraform/Scalr and robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Strong networking fundamentals for global app access.
• Familiarity with big-data tools (Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Temporal).
• Ability to leverage AI tools to streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate cloud infrastructure (AWS) based on customer needs.
• Build and maintain scalable backend APIs and microservices.
• Improve data infrastructure and pipeline automation.
• Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and data quality initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Drive AI-driven development workflows to accelerate delivery.
