Job summary

Komodo Health seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, operate, and improve large-scale data pipelines powering the Healthcare Map and analytics products. You will work hands-on with Python, SQL, Airflow, and AWS, transforming massive healthcare datasets into reliable, serving-ready data assets.

Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare data across claims, clinical, RWE, provider, patient, or life sciences datasets.
• Strong hands-on experience building and debugging production-grade data pipelines at scale.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills with Airflow or similar tools.
• Experience with Spark or equivalent distributed processing frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and operating data solutions in AWS.
• Strong data quality, reliability, and production troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly with engineering, product, and data partners.
• Comfort with AI-assisted engineering tools for productivity and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and optimize large-scale production data pipelines.
• Transform healthcare data into trusted, serving-ready data assets.
• Improve pipeline reliability with data quality checks and observability.
• Debug complex data and performance issues in distributed workflows.
