Job summary

Purpose Financial is seeking a Sr. Cloud Database Engineer to own cloud-native data platforms, primarily on AWS. This hands-on role designs for scale, drives automation, and sets platform standards used across the firm.

You will operate at a senior level, defining what to build and delivering with limited direction. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in database administration, cloud ops, and DevOps, with experience in AWS, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and data warehousing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day data infrastructure operations.
• Oversee design, deployment, and management of AWS services (RDS, Aurora, DocumentDB, Lambda, EC2).
• Automate deployment and scaling using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure backups, monitoring, and performance tuning for cloud data platforms.
• Collaborate with security and infra teams on migrations to AWS/Snowflake.
