Purpose Financial is seeking a Sr. Cloud Database Engineer to own AWS-based cloud database platforms. This senior IC role emphasizes designing, deploying, and managing databases with a focus on scalability and reliability.

You will drive IaC/CI-CD automation, tune performance across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DocumentDB, and collaborate with multiple teams on migrations to AWS and Snowflake while building a training curriculum for the Cloud Operations Center of Excellence.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience in database administration, cloud administration, and DevOps.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and Snowflake, ETL tools (Fivetran, HVR), and Kafka.
• Deep understanding of database security - RBAC, encryption, auditing, and threat/vulnerability management.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IS or related field; AWS/database certifications a plus.

About the role

As our Sr. Cloud Database Engineer, you'll take end-to-end ownership of our cloud-native database platforms, with a primary focus on AWS. This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role - perfect for someone who identifies what needs to be built, makes sound technical calls, and delivers without needing a roadmap handed to them.

What you'll own:

What you bring:
