Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a senior Data Engineering & BI leader to design and deliver cloud-based data analytics platforms. You will guide architecture across Azure, AWS, and GCP, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and governance.

You\'ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement best practices for data quality and security, and drive performance of BI tools like Power BI or Tableau in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in IT, cloud architecture, data engineering, enterprise data platforms, or related technical disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cloud-based data analytics and business intelligence solutions.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, reviewing technical designs, and coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, dimensional modeling, and analytical data structures.
• Experience with cloud data and analytics technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
• Experience with enterprise business intelligence platforms, preferably Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, data security, identity and access management, and cloud cost optimization.
• Familiarity with Python, PySpark, Apache Spark, or similar data processing technologies.
• Experience with Agile delivery, source control, CI/CD practices, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
