Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Cloud data solutions team. You will design, develop and deploy cloud data solutions for risk, regulatory, finance and compliance projects, and drive on-prem to cloud migration initiatives.

The role requires indirect leadership of junior team members and collaboration with business and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable data platforms. Hybrid work is supported with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop & deploy cloud data solutions for risk, regulatory, finance & compliance projects.
• Lead data engineering initiatives and mentor junior team members.
• Work with business teams, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and other teams to meet backend functionality demands.
