Job summary

Fastly’s Fleet Operations and Production Engineering team is seeking a Senior Engineer to scale and manage a Kubernetes-based control plane on multi-cloud infrastructure. You’ll help expand platform features, onboard new services, and drive efficiency while keeping the platform secure across regions.

The role requires building and operating production-grade Kubernetes clusters, with Go and Python coding, Terraform for infra, and strong collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience typical for Senior level engineers.
• Experience designing services with fault tolerance across geographies.
• Experience building and operating production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP) and multi-cloud setups.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate infrastructure to enable reliable deployment across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
• Diagnose and resolve performance and reliability issues across the stack.
• Deploy and support complex 3rd party and internal applications.
• Write tools to automate maintenance and deployment of servers and services.
• Collaborate with internal users to evolve the platform and operations.
