Job summary

Fastly, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer for Production Cloud and Container Services to scale and manage a Kubernetes-based platform across public clouds and on-prem environments. The role focuses on reliability, security, and expanding platform capabilities while onboarding new services.

You will build tooling, work across time zones, and evolve operations using solid engineering practices in a hybrid work model in the US.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in senior engineering roles.
Experience running high availability distributed systems across regions.
Proficient with Kubernetes clusters in multi-cloud environments.
Strong programming skills in Go and Python; able to read and modify large codebases.
Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code tooling.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate infrastructure across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
Diagnose performance and reliability issues across stack including 3rd party services.
Deploy and support complex applications and services on Kubernetes.
Develop automation tools for deployment, maintenance, and monitoring.
Collaborate across time zones to evolve platform and operations.
