Job summary

Optum Tech, a division of Optum, seeks an experienced software engineer to drive cloud-first contact center architectures for AI-driven initiatives. You will design end-to-end solutions, integrating SIP, telephony, bots, and analytics to support high-volume enterprise environments.

The role requires deep experience with SIP-based solutions, AWS cloud services, and contact center technologies, including Amazon Connect. Availability to work in-office in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Cloud Developer.
• 5+ years developing SIP-based solutions and AWS including cloud networking, identity, security, and operations.
• 3+ years developing or supporting enterprise contact center solutions with voice and digital channels.
• 3+ years of experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• 2+ years hands-on SIP Solutioning, Amazon Connect or CCaaS integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud-native services using AWS primitives (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, S3, EventBridge).
• Create and maintain Amazon Connect integrations and contact flows.
• Implement REST/event-driven APIs linking Amazon Connect with SIP, bots, analytics, and healthcare platforms.
