Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager for Cloud Compute to serve as the dedicated technical advisor to enterprise customers leveraging Akamai Core Compute, Edge Compute, and Qualified Compute Partner solutions.

You will develop customer success plans, understand environments, advise on cloud compute strategies, workload optimization, and AI inferencing opportunities, while coordinating with product, engineering, and services teams to drive adoption and business value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with cloud computing, infrastructure, or customer success in a customer-facing role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, hosting, networking, and modern compute environments.
• Experience advising on cloud adoption, workload optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of AI inference or generative AI technologies and agentic AI use cases.
• Ability to translate business objectives into practical cloud and AI adoption strategies.
• Proven track record of building trusted relationships with stakeholders from executives to technical teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the dedicated technical advisor for customers leveraging Akamai Core Compute, Edge Compute, and Qualified Compute Partner solutions.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer environments, business objectives, architectures, and workload requirements.
• Create and execute customer success plans that drive adoption, retention, business value, and long-term growth.
• Advise customers on cloud compute strategies, workload placement, scalability, performance optimization, and operational best practices.
• Guide customers on AI inferencing and agentic AI opportunities, aligning infrastructure with business outcomes.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, support, and professional services teams to resolve challenges and advocate for customer needs.
• Drive customer success through regular business reviews, technical consultations, and proactive engagement.
• Maintain operational excellence through key metrics like Net/Gross Retention, NPS, Customer Health, and cloud consumption growth.
