Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales, architect cloud and edge solutions, and collaborate with sales, product, and partners to accelerate customer success.

The role requires 8+ years in technical pre-sales or solutions architecture, cloud/IaaS expertise, certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure/CNCF), and hands-on experience across Kubernetes, networking, databases, and IaC/CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• 8yrs experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or related engineering roles and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
• Extensive professional customer-facing experience in technical roles with cloud-related organizations.
• Experience architecting IaaS solutions and certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle and/or CNCF.
• Hands-on expertise across Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI, IaC/CI/CD tooling, gaming, or media-streaming stacks.
• Experience with open-source software like Apache Web Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform.
• Ability to communicate complex technical content effectively to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in modern development practices, APIs, databases, observability tools, and automation.

Responsabilités

• Providing pre-sales support, manage and own the technical sales opportunity from discovery through validation, deployment, and adoption.
• Collaborating with sales, product teams, professional services, marketing, and partners.
• Leading innovation in solutions and products, identify and promote trends, and influence the global product roadmap.
• Building technical expertise and through-leadership in Akamai Cloud/Linode to support Akamai's growth.
