Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure and DevOps powering the Vision Navigation System and Guidance, Navigation & Control teams. You will build CI/CD, tooling, release, and data pipelines spanning firmware, spacecraft software, ground systems, and cloud services, improving build times and deployment reproducibility.

The role may be onsite in Austin, TX or Littleton, CO, with remote options for travel to Austin roughly every other

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with DevOps/build/release and cloud infra.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for multi-team codebases.
• Experience deploying cloud infra with IaC (Terraform) and Linux automation.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting for automation.
• Experience with embedded/firmware DevOps and ML training infra is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate CI/CD, build tooling, and cloud infra for VNS/GNC stacks.
• Build unified packaging and release management across firmware, spacecraft software, and cloud services.
• Create and maintain test/release workflows with high coverage and reproducibility.
• Optimize build times to boost engineering velocity and productivity.
• Manage data processing pipelines and visualization tooling in cloud and ground systems.
• Design storage/versioning/distribution for large data assets and ML datasets.
