Job summary

Barracuda seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Cloud-to-Cloud Backup team in the Data Protection division. You will design, develop, test, debug, deploy, maintain and improve backend services protecting Microsoft 365 data, using Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC and Azure Cloud Services, including Cosmos DB, Blob storage, and AKS.

You’ll work to build scalable systems with strong code quality, mentor teammates, and drive end-to-end feature delivery while collaborating with frontend and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience in object-oriented programming (C#, C++, Java).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with root-cause analysis.
• Desire to learn unfamiliar systems and deliver moderately complex designs independently.
• Experience building and deploying applications in the public cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test features, improvements and optimizations for the product.
• Find and fix bugs in production and development environments.
• Uphold high standards for code quality and architecture using SOLID principles.
• Mentor team members in design and development best practices.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and communicate results clearly.
