Job summary

Barracuda is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for the Cloud-to-Cloud Backup team in the Data Protection division. You will design, develop, test, and deploy backend services to protect Microsoft 365 data, using Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC, and Azure services such as Cosmos DB and Blob storage.

You’ll mentor peers, conduct code reviews, and help maintain high code quality while collaborating with frontend and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience in object-oriented programming (C#, C++, Java).
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, component, integration, end-to-end).
• Experience building and deploying applications in the public cloud and using Docker containers.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test features, improvements and optimizations for the product.
• Find and fix bugs in production and development environments.
• Uphold high standards for code quality and architecture, including SOLID design principles.
• Mentor team members in design and development best practices.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews with the team.
• Develop metrics to monitor production system performance.
• On-call rotation for the services your team is responsible for.
• Document and communicate research and results.
