Job summary

Puck is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platforms to lead the design, development, and operation of distributed systems using C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure. This is a senior IC role with accountability for technical direction and production-grade delivery.

You will own backend services, APIs, and cloud solutions in Azure, plus CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration with product and QA teams. Relocation assistance is not available; Worthing, SD area; strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of professional software engineering
• Deep proficiency in C# and .NET ecosystem
• Strong Azure design, deployment, and support experience
• Experience designing scalable REST APIs and distributed systems
• Experience CI/CD, source control, and DevOps practices
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus
• Experience leading technical design discussions and architecture decisions

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and long-term evolution of backend services and APIs
• Own technical design for complex systems ensuring reliability and scalability
• Architect and deliver Azure-based cloud solutions and services
• Drive engineering quality through reviews, standards, and testing strategies
• Collaborate with product, QA, and other teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of production issues
• Improve observability, deployment safety, and incident response practices
• Build out CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows to speed delivery
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps and standards
