Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Platform Engineer/DevOps to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment automation in a fast-paced environment in Washington state and Vancouver area.

You will standardize deployments, implement observability, and work with Agile teams to improve reliability and efficiency. Strong AWS/Cloudflare experience and CI/CD expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

5 years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or similar.
3–5 years of experience developing, supporting, or maintaining cloud-based apps.
Practical experience with AWS, Cloudflare, or similar cloud platform technologies.
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, or database migrations.
Experience integrating AI‑assisted tools or automation into engineering workflows.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment automation.
Standardize deployment, configuration, dependency management, and release processes.
Design monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
Identify and resolve infra and performance issues including upgrades.
Ensure platform security practices and compliance.
Support production systems and participate in incident response.
Collaborate with Engineering and QA to improve delivery and efficiency.
Partner with dev teams to improve scalability and readiness.
Research and implement automation and AI-assisted workflows.
Create and maintain documentation for infra and platform standards.
Identify risks and improve resiliency through automation.
Establish best practices for platform engineering and software delivery.
Produce clean, scalable infrastructure code and scripts.
Assist planning of upgrades and platform improvements.
Continuously evaluate the platform to support growth.
