Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and automation for mission-critical applications in a dynamic 24x7 environment. You will lead onshore and offshore teams, implement proactive monitoring, and partner with engineering to deliver resilient platforms.

You will analyze KPIs/SLOs, manage cloud services (AWS), and advance self-healing capabilities. Strong collaboration and deep troubleshooting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in development, site reliability engineering, operations, or related technology roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience managing highly available, scalable, and resilient applications in production environments.
• Experience defining, measuring, and improving KPIs, SLOs, and operational metrics.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, Glue, Athena, and related technologies.
• Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and operational support solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive the reliability, availability, and scalability of mission-crictical applications in a 24x7 environment.
• Lead and support a blended team across onshore and offshore locations.
• Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to identify and resolve issues before impact.
• Conduct root cause analysis of failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop automation to streamline deployments, configuration, and health checks.
• Partner with engineering to design, deploy, and support resilient solutions.
• Advance self-healing capabilities to reduce manual intervention.
• Analyze availability, reliability, and performance metrics to drive improvements.
• Participate in major incident management and post-incident reviews.
