AWS DevOps Engineer: CI/CD & Cloud Infra

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Cloud/DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and run production-grade AWS infrastructure. You will build scalable systems with IaC, automate deployments, and optimize costs while maintaining high availability.

Responsibilities include managing CI/CD pipelines, operating EKS/ECS/Lambda workloads, and enforcing security best practices. Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation, Python, Bash, SQL, and container tooling is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building production-grade software and 2+ years operating cloud infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience operating production workloads on AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
• Hands-on with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS.
• Solid networking fundamentals and cloud security best practices.
• Golang and/or TypeScript are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using IaC tools.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS services and/or third-party tools.
• Operate and optimize containerized and serverless workloads (EKS, ECS, Lambda, Fargate).
• Monitor, log, and troubleshoot systems with CloudWatch, X-Ray, and observability tools.
• Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM, VPCs, and secrets management.
• Automate infrastructure operations, scaling, and maintenance.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for reliability and cost optimization.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to maintain stability.
• Contribute to and enhance QA automation for reliable releases.
• Support additional infrastructure, platform, and operational efforts.
