Job summary

Appnovation Technologies is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to scale our AWS platform to enterprise levels, targeting tens of thousands of users across regions. You will design caching, federation, and security controls, and guide engineering on best practices and standards.

You’ll drive non-functional requirements, mentor teams, and collaborate with security/compliance to ensure robust, scalable solutions for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field required.
• 8+ years engineering experience with 3+ years in architecture.
• Senior cloud architecture experience on AWS; certification preferred.
• Experience designing high-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
• Experience with caching strategies, data federation, and performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Architect platform for enterprise scale (tens of thousands of users) on AWS.
• Evaluate scalability of Postgres/Supabase backend; design caching tiers and multi-region federation.
• Own load-testing strategy and responsiveness across geographies.
• Ensure security and access-control for sensitive content.
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical standards.
• Mentor engineers on cloud best practices and patterns.
• Define non-functional requirements (availability, resilience, cost, observability).
• Partner with security and compliance to meet enterprise controls.
• Support build-vs-buy decisions and technology evaluations.
