Job summary

Appnovation is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to scale our platform on AWS, designing multi-region, fault-tolerant architectures for tens of thousands of users. You will lead security-conscious design, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions across the technology stack.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in engineering with 3+ years in architecture, AWS senior experience, and IaC + containerization expertise to deliver resilient, high-performance solutions for complex content

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; 8+ years in engineering with 3+ years in architecture.
• Senior cloud architecture experience on AWS; certification preferred.
• Experience designing high-scale, low-latency, multi-region distributed systems.
• Caching strategies, data federation, and performance/load testing.

Responsibilities

• Architect the platform for enterprise scale on AWS.
• Evaluate scalability of the Postgres/Supabase backend; design caching tiers, multi-region, and global federation.
• Own the load-testing strategy and responsiveness targets across geographies.
• Ensure the architecture meets security and access-control needs for sensitive content.
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical standards.
• Guide and mentor engineers on cloud best practices and patterns.
• Define non-functional requirements (availability, resilience, cost, observability).
• Partner with security and compliance to meet enterprise controls.
• Support build-vs-buy decisions and technology evaluations.
