Job summary

VERSANT Media in New York is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer – Cloud to define, design, and evolve our cloud platforms with a focus on AWS enterprise-scale, multi-account environments, and automation.

You will mentor engineers, establish patterns with Terraform and CloudFormation, and partner with security, networking, and platform teams to drive reliability and scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
• Demonstrated experience as a senior technical lead or architect for large-scale cloud environments.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms and services.
• Extensive experience with multi-account AWS environments and enterprise governance.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, identity federation, and AWS Identity Center.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive cloud architecture, standards, and patterns across the organization.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across the organization.
• Develop reusable cloud patterns and automation to support multiple teams.
• Partner with security, networking, and application teams to ensure governance and reliability.
