Job summary

VERSANT Media is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer – Cloud to define, design, and evolve our cloud platforms with a primary focus on AWS for enterprise-scale environments. You will establish architecture standards, drive automation with infrastructure as code, and mentor engineers across multiple teams.

Experience with multi-account AWS environments, IAM/Security, and hybrid connectivity is essential. The role emphasizes leadership, implementation of scalable cloud architectures, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud/infra engineering for large-scale environments.
• Experience as senior technical lead or architect for enterprise cloud.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience with multi-account setups and governance.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
• Knowledge of IAM, identity federation, and AWS Identity Center.
• Excellent leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive cloud architecture, engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, secure cloud solutions in AWS.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across the organization.
• Develop reusable cloud patterns and automation frameworks.
• Partner with application teams to enable standardized cloud services.
• Oversee hybrid connectivity, networking, and cross-account sharing.
• Ensure security, governance, and reliability across cloud environments.
