Job summary

Omni Federal in Herndon, VA is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead cloud engineering for a DoD/IC portfolio. The role requires active Top Secret clearance and on-site work 30–50% in a SIPR/SCIF, with hands-on expertise in AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.

You will own incident management, design robust cloud solutions, coordinate with customers and application teams, and drive secure network configurations, IAM and PKI integration, and containerized workloads using Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 IAT Level II) minimum.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 8+ years of senior/architect-level experience in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
• Ability to work on-site in a SIPR/SCIF environment 30–50%.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven incident management and major incident response experience.
• Experience with networking, VPCs, DNS, and security groups.
• Experience with containers and CI/CD tools (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for complex cloud engineering issues.
• Lead incident response queues and resolve high-priority tickets.
• Architect solutions in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Collaborate with customers and application teams to resolve cloud dependencies.
• Ensure security compliance and SCIF procedures are followed.
• Troubleshoot routing, resource pointing and integration issues.
