Job summary

Monet Bank is seeking a Principal Cloud Architect to own its AWS environment end to end, designing, operating, and securing the cloud infrastructure for a regulated banking platform. This hands-on role demands autonomy, strong AWS delivery, and modern cloud engineering practice within a small, fast-moving team.

You will drive migration, security standards, and cost optimization while partnering with Security, Risk, and cross-functional engineers to ensure compliant, scalable cloud foundations

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in IT with at least 5 years in cloud architecture or infrastructure roles and strong hands-on cloud experience including AWS delivery.
• Deep AWS expertise across compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD.
• Strong cloud network and security design: VPC, encryption, and IAM.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in a small, fast-paced environment and wearing multiple hats.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and secure Monet's entire AWS environment.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization with minimal disruption to the business.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD for provisioning that is consistent, repeatable, and auditable.
• Own monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cost optimization; design backup and multi-region failover strategies.
• Define and enforce cloud security standards aligned to banking regulations; work with Security and Risk.
