Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to provide overall technical leadership for the AWS migration. You will define the target-state architecture, establish migration patterns, and ensure all requirements are addressed during the program lifecycle.

The base salary for this position in New York, NY is $140k-$160k per year, with benefits. This role requires extensive experience in enterprise architecture and cloud-based solutions within regulated financial services environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise architecture and software engineering experience.
• 8+ years designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Deep expertise in AWS services, cloud-native architectures, infrastructure automation, resiliency, security, and disaster recovery.
• Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior technology and business leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the target-state architecture.
• Lead application assessment and migration strategy development.
• Establish architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails.
• Provide technical oversight for migration, testing, cutover, and decommissioning activities.
• Identify and mitigate architectural, operational, and security risks.
• Support governance, design reviews, and executive-level decision making.
