Job summary

Synechron seeks a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to lead our AWS migration program in New York. You will define the target-state architecture, establish migration patterns, validate designs, and ensure app, infra, security and operations requirements are met throughout the lifecycle.

You will drive governance, risk mitigation, and senior stakeholder engagement while guiding large-scale modernization in highly regulated financial services environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise architecture and software engineering experience.
• 8+ years designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Deep expertise in AWS services, cloud-native architectures, infrastructure automation, resiliency, security, and disaster recovery.
• Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior technology and business leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the target-state architecture.
• Lead application assessment and migration strategy development.
• Establish architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails.
• Provide technical oversight for migration, testing, cutover, and decommissioning activities.
• Identify and mitigate architectural, operational, and security risks.
• Support governance, design reviews, and executive-level decision making.
