Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design scalable, resilient cloud architectures and solve complex business challenges. You will work with Sales and other teams to accelerate adoption of AWS services while acting as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers.

Based in Detroit, you will lead architectural discussions, help migrate workloads to the cloud, write technical guidance, and build relationships with executives and engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development, cloud compute, systems engineering, or related IT fields.
• 3+ years designing or implementing applications or infrastructures.
• 10+ years in IT development, implementation, or consulting in software or Internet industries.
• Experience communicating with executives and stakeholders.
• Experience migrating legacy solutions to the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new automotive and manufacturing customers.
• Communicate with business and technical stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Lead deep architectural discussions to build world-class AWS solutions.
• Contribute to customer-facing publications and whitepapers.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies with the sales team.
• Develop relationships with senior technical and business leaders.
• Share best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Travel up to 20% regionally.
