Job summary

Huron Consulting Group Inc. is seeking an Analytics Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate the Data Forge cloud data platform.

You will develop scalable data and analytics solutions within AWS, automate platform capabilities, and improve reliability and usability for multiple product teams. The role focuses on Python frameworks, data pipelines, CI/CD, IaC, and observability, with a strong emphasis on developer experience and AI-enabled enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
• 2-5 years of software/data/platform engineering experience.
• Strong Python production-grade development and automation.
• Hands-on AWS experience with S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, ECS, Step Functions, CloudWatch, IAM.
• Strong SQL and experience with large datasets.
• Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Agile development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform services for data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and reporting.
• Build reusable Python-based frameworks, utilities, and automation tools.
• Develop platform capabilities for rapid onboarding of datasets and workloads.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT with Python, Spark, and AWS.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and automation; CI/CD pipelines.
• Create tooling to simplify platform adoption and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Contribute to testing, deployment, security, and maintainability standards.
• Explore AI-enabled solutions to improve platform capabilities and developer productivity.
