Job summary

Huron Consulting Group in Chicago is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to lead architecture, deployment, and operationalization of our AI, Microsoft Fabric, and workflow platforms across Managed Services engagements. You will own internal tooling, collaborate with client teams and development groups, and drive scalable solutions that power 50+ client deployments.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Fabric, AI/LLM workflows, and data platforms, plus strong

Qualifications

5+ years in platform engineering, DevOps or cloud operations.
Hands‑on Azure DevOps administration and multi‑project governance.
Salesforce administration or development coordination experience.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and related data tools (ADF, Synapse, Databricks).
Experience with AI/LLM solutions and prompt engineering.
Strong communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own architecture, configuration, standardization, and ongoing administration of internal Azure DevOps environments used to manage work across multiple client engagements.
Serve as the primary liaison to the Salesforce development team, coordinating requirements, backlog, sprint input, UAT, and deployment activities for enhancements to the Salesforce workflow platform.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of internal AI-powered solutions and Claude AI projects, including prompt workflows and automation pipelines.
Coordinate client onboarding and implementation activities related to Microsoft Fabric deployments, configuring environments and supporting data integration.
Collaborate to review Power BI data models and assess dependencies across data pipelines and reporting.
Support expansion of Managed Services processes into Salesforce and other enterprise platforms, documenting workflows and deployment approaches.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, platform standards, runbooks, and knowledge materials for consistency and resilience across the organization.
Participate in the internal Tech Committee, mentoring team members and evaluating emerging technologies.
