Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Cloud & AI Security Architect to lead cyber defense in enterprise cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. You will partner with Cloud Infrastructure, Detection Engineering, and Security Operations to deploy, monitor, and mature cloud-native security telemetry and response capabilities.

The role demands extensive experience in cloud security, threat detection, and automation, with a strategic focus on governance, logging, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/BA in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of 10 years experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies.
• Experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Cloud security certifications such as CCSP or CSP-specific security certifications preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to integrate cyber defense and security operations capabilities into enterprise cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Partner with cloud infrastructure and application teams to ensure security controls, logging, and telemetry are properly enabled and validated.
• Define roadmap and strategy for cloud cyber defense, including CSPM, threat detection, logging pipelines, and incident response integration.
• Propose and develop cloud threat monitoring use cases and train SOC analysts on triage and remediation of alerts.
• Collaborate with security operations and incident response teams to investigate cloud security events and support remediation actions.
