Job summary

Q Care Plus seeks a Senior Clinician (MD/DO) to lead a national telemedicine program in HIV prevention, sexual health, and infectious disease. This role combines clinical practice with strategic oversight of providers across the country, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer.

You will spend ~75% on leadership and operations and ~25% in direct patient care, mentoring clinicians, ensuring quality, safety, and protocol adherence while expanding innovative virtual care workflows.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license in at least one state.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in HIV, infectious disease, sexual health, public health, STI care, or related.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership, medical management, or clinical supervision experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct provider supervision in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

This unique physician leadership opportunity combines clinical excellence with strategic oversight, allowing you to shape care delivery for thousands of patients nationwide while mentoring and developing a growing team of clinicians. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, the Senior Clinician serves as a key clinical leader responsible for provider performance, quality assurance, patient safety, protocol adherence, and ongoing clinical innovation across our virtual care platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership & Provider Oversight

Strategic Growth & Innovation

• Assist with clinician recruitment, candidate assessment, and onboarding.
• Contribute to protocol development, clinical workflow optimization, and practice expansion initiatives.
• Help shape the future of virtual infectious disease and preventive healthcare services.

Direct Patient Care

• Deliver telemedicine-based clinical care in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using Q Care Plus telehealth platforms.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation.

Qualifications:

Required

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, medical license in at least one state; multiple state licenses preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in HIV, infectious disease, sexual health, public health, STI care, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership, medical management, or clinical supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct provider supervision in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in telemedicine or digital healthcare delivery.
• Experience managing distributed or remote clinical teams.
• Advanced education in healthcare administration, business, management, or a related field.
• Experience leading change initiatives and healthcare operations at scale.

Salary range: $230,000 to $260,000 per year, based on credentials and geographic location
