Job summary

Merck & Co. in West Point, PA, seeks an Associate Director, Clinical Supply Project Manager - Program to lead end-to-end clinical supply planning for assigned programs. You will interface with clinical development, regulatory, quality, and supply chain teams to shape timelines and strategies for drug product supply.

You will manage SAP-based forecasts, budget responsibilities, and critical CMC activities while mentoring staff and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, business, or related discipline required, MS/MBA preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in project management, clinical supply planning, scheduling, coordination and processing of supply chain activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at various levels.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills for supply planning.
• Knowledge of supply chain systems (SAP or Oracle) and MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for data-driven decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with adaptability.
• Experience in GMP/GCP is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with clinical development, regulatory, quality and other supply chain areas to negotiate timelines and strategies for clinical supplies.
• Establishes timelines for bulk manufacturing needs and drug product release across programs.
• Works in SAP to create a consolidated forecast for products used in assigned programs.
• Oversees bulk drug supply management and allocation across studies.
• Identifies supply risks and leads escalation to GCS leadership.
• Manages clinical supply budget and supports protocol/program cost estimates.
• Authors clinical supply documentation for labeling, packaging, and CMC activities.
• Collects and analyzes clinical supply chain metrics; mentors team members.
