Job summary

The Lead Clinical Research Data Manager at the University of Chicago’s Biological Sciences Division, Hematology and Oncology, will oversee data management tasks for high-complexity clinical studies to ensure data integrity and protocol adherence.

Responsibilities include supervising data managers, directing QA reviews, handling study documentation, and coordinating with PIs while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in a related field.
• 5–7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Experience in clinical research is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees all data management tasks in support of high-complexity clinical research studies with no oversight.
• Directs quality assurance reviews conducted by study sponsors, federal agencies, or designated internal review groups.
• Oversees study-related documentation for analysis and regulatory reporting.
• Supervises 1-2 data managers; balances workload and provides feedback on performance.
• Performs other related work as needed.
