Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an experienced clinical research professional to lead budgeting, sponsor negotiations, and coverage analysis for inpatient and drug/device studies. The role strengthens budget preparation, accelerates study start-up times, and trains study teams in process efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive academic medical center experience, regulatory knowledge, and a track record mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in science, social science, business, health-related field.
• Master's Degree in science, social science, business, or health-related field.
• PhD or equivalent in science, social science, business, or health-related field.
• 6 years of related experience to include management with Bachelor's, or 4 years with Master's, or 3 years with PhD.

Responsibilities

• Reviews research proposals and negotiates budgets and contracts.
• Oversees regulatory activities and prepares project summaries.
• Manages financial oversight of clinical research unit and sponsor invoicing.
• Trains staff across research, financial, laboratory, and administrative teams.
• Identifies sponsors and develops collaborative relationships across facilities.
