Job summary

Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) in Carson City or Las Vegas is seeking a Supervisor 2, Clinical Program Planner to lead planning, analytics, evaluation, QA, and system improvement across child welfare, juvenile justice, and children’s mental health programs. The role provides centralized leadership, partners with DCFS leadership, and guides strategy and performance initiatives.

Requires graduate education and supervisory experience, with stakeholder collaboration across multiple

Qualifications

  • Graduate-level education in health-related or social science planning and research.
  • Minimum four years of applicable experience with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Master’s degree in a field applicable to the job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee activities for a portion of a large program with multiple service delivery points.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor quality improvement and strategic planning activities.
  • Develop policies and procedures for quality assurance and quality improvement processes.
  • Design and conduct program evaluations for program planning, budget development, and resource allocation.
  • Develop clinical practice guidelines and standards.
  • Oversee, collect, and analyze data, prepare reports, and identify trends and cause/effect relationships.
  • Conduct clinical case reviews to evaluate the appropriateness of clinical services provided and compliance.
  • Monitor the availability of external funding for new and ongoing activities.
  • Research and write a variety of correspondence, recommendations, and reports.
  • Design, conduct, or supervise literature or field research.
  • Develop and administer contracts, grants, and their processes.
  • Develop clinical practice guidelines and standards and prepare and present training programs.
  • Provide technical assistance to clinical supervisors in the use of clinical tools and evidence-based practices.
  • Assess the quality of care in delivery of services and evaluate the attainment of program goals.
  • Serve as a liaison to advisory or policy-making committees as needed.
  • Track legislative activities relevant to the agency and provide legislative testimony as required.
  • Oversee activities which includes multiple service delivery points statewide.
  • Oversee the centralized planning, research, and evaluation function.
  • Quality improvement and quality assurance for internal programs and community providers.
  • Conduct program planning, program evaluation, contract administration, and grant management.
  • Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate the performance of employees, and other supervisory duties as appropriate for managing people.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
