Job summary

The State of Nevada seeks a senior administrator to lead the Division of Child & Family Services' statewide juvenile justice programs, including the Youth Parole Bureau and three facilities. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in juvenile justice, strong leadership, budgeting, and interagency collaboration to improve outcomes for youth and protect public safety.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in juvenile justice, corrections, social services, or related human services field.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity overseeing programs, staff or facilities serving youth.
• Familiarity with data systems used for outcome tracking and federal reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide juvenile justice programming and administration.
• Oversee Nevada's Youth Parole Bureau and three state-operated facilities.
• Develop and implement policy, compliance, and legislative monitoring.
• Coordinate interagency services and ensure high-quality care for youth.
• Manage budgets, grants, and contracts; oversee ~200 staff.
• Engage communities, courts, child welfare, and education to address needs.
