Job summary

Health First is seeking a Lead Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to work at the facility level, coordinating clinical pharmacy services and ensuring optimal daily operations within the department. The role focuses on developing systems that promote safe, cost-effective drug therapies and improved patient outcomes.

The candidate will lead initiatives, review pharmacoeconomic programs, and support guideline development while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and management to advance pharmacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) required.
• Five years of clinical pharmacy experience.
• Five years of clinical pharmacy leadership experience.
• Florida Pharmacist licensure required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card or ACLS/PALS credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Act under pharmacy leadership to plan, implement and evaluate clinical pharmacy objectives.
• Maintain positive relationships with medical staff and hospital leadership through effective communication.
• Disseminate best practice information across Health First.
• Prepare and present drug reviews, MUE criteria, antibiotic reports, adverse drug reaction reports, and pharmacy interventions.
