Job summary

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to oversee specialty services and lead pharmacy operations within the hospital.

You will act as a patient advocate, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and chair or participate in committees to improve medication policies and procedures. Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. degree in Pharmacy required.
• Graduate of an accredited PGY-1 pharmacy residency program is required.
• Graduate of an accredited PGY-2 pharmacy residency program is preferred.
• 5+ years of inpatient hospital experience is preferred.
• 3+ years of HCA inpatient hospital experience is preferred.
• Maintains current pharmacist licensure, with the state board of pharmacy, is required.
• Pharmacist Board Certification is required
• Specialty certifications, as determined by the facility needs, may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications safely and accurately.
• Provide drug information to patients and families.
• Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and corporate policies and procedures.
• Lead committees responsible for medication-related policies and procedures
• Mentor to pharmacy students, residents, and colleagues in high professional standards.
• Collaborate with physicians to monitor medication therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriate drug and dose.
