Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Lab Supervisor to oversee day-to-day lab operations, instrument implementation, and training across the team. The role ensures compliance with CLIA, CAP, GDCH, TJC, OSHA, FDA and other regulatory guidelines, while coordinating staffing and purchases to support patient care.

You will work with the lab manager to address complaints, monitor testing protocols, and drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• MT(ASCP) or MT(AAB) or MLS(AMT) - Medical Laboratory Scientist certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of lab personnel and instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, GDCH, TJC, OSHA, FDA and other regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate staffing, payroll, scheduling, and inventory for a busy laboratory.
• Collaborate with lab manager to address complaints and implement testing protocols.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred

MT(ASCP) / MT(AAB) / MLS(AMT) / MLS(ASCP) / MT(HEW) / M(ASCP) certifications
