Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Augusta, Georgia seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee day-to-day lab operations, implement instrumentation, and provide training and support to staff.

You will ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, GDCH, TJC, OSHA and other regulatory guidelines, and coordinate with the lab manager on complaints and procedures. A Bachelor's in Clinical Lab Science is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Lab Science or related field; master's preferred.
• All certifications required upon hire (e.g., MT(ASCP) variants) per listed requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily activities of department associates to ensure timely, accurate reporting of laboratory testing.
• Collaboratively develops and implements technical orientation programs for new staff.
• Ensures SOPs and practices adhere to CLIA, CAP, GDCH, TJC and OSHA standards.
• Evaluates new instrumentation and procedures to improve efficiency and cost containment.
• Performs other duties as assigned; supports lab manager with complaints and regulatory needs.
• Complies with Wellstar Health System policies and code of conduct.
