Job summary

St. David’s Georgetown Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery to lead clinical and managerial operations during shifts and to support the RN manager/director.

As a registered nurse, you may take on patient care duties as needed, joining a team that prioritizes compassionate, family-like care. Responsibilities include coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality nursing services, and coaching staff.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in healthcare.
• 3-5 years experience in labor and delivery.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - referred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Continuously assess the quality of nursing care and operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Assume leadership within the unit in support of the RN manager/director, including supervision, education and coaching, payroll editing, annual performance reviews, and employee recognition.
• Designated responsibilities may rotate within core areas: Quality/Safety, Patient Experience, Employee Engagement, Fiscal Responsibility, Staff Development.
