Job summary

St. Davids Georgetown Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, in Georgetown, Texas, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit to coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned patients.

You will develop individualized care plans and provide family-centered teaching to support safe, high-quality outcomes. You will complete assessments, document interventions, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN
• Experience in Labor and Delivery is preferred
• Current Texas RN license or Compact license with Texas license within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned patients in the L&D unit
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment and develop an individualized care plan
• Provide family-centered teaching and education
• Identify variances from the care plan and report changes promptly
• Facilitate discharge planning and teaching
• Administer medications accurately and document them clearly
• Communicate significant information to physician or charge nurse
• Modify plan of care based on patient response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care
