Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
• Sufficient prior experience in clinical lab operations
• Ability to follow safety, sanitation and QA protocols

Responsibilities

• Maintains department policies and quality programs and ensures safety standards.
• Draws blood (venous & arterial) as needed and follows standards.
• Consults with Pathologist on difficult analyses and abnormal findings.
• Performs QC/QA and maintains proper documentation.
• Directs and supports staff in daily laboratory operations.
• Participates in continuing education to stay current in the field.
• Escalates issues to lab management with actionable insights.
• Operates computer systems to perform job functions.
