Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to assist in the supervision of the Chemistry Department, ensuring efficient, cost-effective and high-quality operations in coordination with the Lab Medical Director and Hospital Administration.

The role leads testing activities, coordinates regulatory compliance (PT, SOP, PI) and participates in ongoing quality improvement, with a focus on patient safety and accurate results in a fast-paced acute-care setting.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a Medical Technologist required.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• California State License for Clinical Laboratory Scientist (current).
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and participate in laboratory, including testing and compliance with regulatory agencies e.g. Proficiency Testing, SOP, PI and any other assigned tasks.
• Assist in the supervision of the Chemistry Departments with a focus on efficient, economical and quality operations.
